Concrete
Concrete is made up of water, cement, and aggregates such as rock and sand. It is an extremely durable and long-lasting surface that has many uses in construction. It is a versatile material that can be poured into many forms using molds. It is the most used building material in the world because the components that make up concrete are widely available.
Flatwork & Steps
Flatwork is a common term for concrete that is poured in a horizontal plane. Examples of flatwork include but are not limited to sidewalks, patios, driveways, steps, streets, and parking lots.
Curbing
A curb is a raised edge made of concrete along a surface. Curbing establishes the boundary of driving and parking areas and directs water flow.
Bollards
A bollard is a sturdy, vertical post set in concrete that is intended to guide traffic and act as a protective barrier. A bollard is typically made of steel and can be permanent or removable.
Decorative
Decorative concrete takes an ordinary concrete surface and adds an artistic enhancement to it. During construction, a decorative element such as color (dying) or stamping can be added. This is commonly added to walkways, patios, driveways, and interior floors, but can be performed on almost any concrete surface.
New Construction & Expansion
New construction and expansion includes site preparation and creation of a concrete surface or adding to an existing concrete surface. A new concrete surface can be created from undeveloped land, or an existing rock lot, road, or walkway.
ADA Compliance
All parking lots and paths of travel must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. St. Louis Paving can confirm compliance with the ADA, as well as resolve any areas of deficiency.
